Shaoxing Wine Chicken Pot

Ingredients

  • 350g Chicken Pieces
  • 1 sticks Spring Onion (cut into 4 cm strips)
  • 2 Shallot (chopped)
  • 4 Ginger slices (cut into 4 cm strips)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (chopped)
  • 150ml Shaoxing Wine
  • 1 tbsp Soy Paste
  • ½ tbsp Sesame Paste
  • ½ tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • ½ tbsp Soy Sauce
  • A pinch Sugar

Shaoxing Wine Chicken Pot

  1. Marinate chicken in Shaoxing wine for 30 minutes.
  2. Add olive oil to inner pot, heat it over medium high heat, fry chicken until browned all over, and put the chicken aside.
  3. In the same pot, add in ginger, garlic and shallot, and cook until fragrant. Add in chicken, stir fry for 3 minutes and add in Shaoxing wine, soy paste, oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar, and bring to a boil.
  4. Add in spring onion, cover with lid and transfer the inner pot into the vacuum outer pot, and allow heat insulation cooking for 2-3 hours.
