Mamak-Style Noodles

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 packet of instant noodles
  • 1 egg
  • 2 sausages, diced
  • 10g of bok choy, chopped
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 bird’s eye chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 lime, wedged

Mamak-Style Noodles

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Serving size: Up to 2 pax

Product Recommendation: THERMOS 26cm Ultra Deep Non-Stick Frying Pan

Directions: 

  1. Heat oil on medium-high heat in the THERMOS 26cm Deep Non-stick Frying Pan. Crack an egg into the pan and fry the egg sunny side-up. 
  2. Set aside the fried egg. In the same pan, add finely chopped shallot, cut-up sausages and chopped bok choy. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.    
  3. Add cooked noodles to the pan and stir-fry quickly.    
  4. Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and finely chopped bird’s eye chili (optional). Stir quickly to combine. 
  5. Continue to stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce. 
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and top with the sunny side-up fried egg. 
  7. Squeeze lime juice on top of the noodle.
