Chicken Congee with Apple and Bonito Flakes

INGREDIENTS

  • 50g chicken dices
  • 35g apple, peeled, deseed and diced
  • 10g baby spinach leaves, washed and drained
  • 1 tbsp bonito flakes
  • 30g white rice

Chicken Congee with Apple and Bonito Flakes

  1. For better heat insulation, preheat food jar by filling it with boiling water, close the lid tightly and shake gently. Then let sit for 10 minutes before draining out the water.
  2. Put the chicken dices in the food jar and fill with boiling water until the meat is covered. Attach the lid and shake gently. Let sit for a minute and discard the water.
  3. Place the rest of the ingredients and fill boiling water until ingredients are submerged. Stir thoroughly, attach the lid and shake slightly. Let sit for 30 minutes and drain.
  4. Fill the food jar with boiling water until it’s 3/4 full. Stir well and attach the lid. Shake gently and let sit for 90 minutes before serving.
