Creamy Garlic Parmesan Broccoli & Turkey Ham


  • 250g turkey ham (roughly chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 5 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 400ml light cream
  • 1½ tsp cornstarch
  • 500g broccoli florets, stems removed
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to season
  • 65g grated mozzarella
  • 43g grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh thyme (chopped)

  1. Pour a little oil into a saucepan and fry turkey ham over medium heat until slightly golden. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter, add the onion and cook about 2 minutes until transparent.
  3. Add broccoli and cook while stirring occasionally for about 3 minutes.
  4. Add in garlic and stir it with the broccoli for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the cream, reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 2 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water), salt, pepper and stir to combine. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add the turkey ham and stir to combine all of the flavours together.
  8. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bring heat up until cheese is bubbling and broccoli is done to your liking (about 2-3 minutes).
  9. Season with a little extra pepper and sprinkle fresh chopped thyme before serving.
